Sphincter of Oddi Spasm. The sphincter of Oddi is often a muscular valve in your body that controls the movement of bile and digestive juices through the pancreas in the small intestine. When this valve spasms, it may really feel like getting a restricted muscle cramp, causing pain and blocking the flow of those juices, which can lead to irritation
